About The Role
Cuso will be implementing the Peruvian Response for Opportunities of Venezuelan Migrants and Refugees in Employment and Sustainable Income Generating Activities (PROMESA) in Peru funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

PROMESA provides skills training and job placements for Venezuelan Migrants and Refugees (VMR) and vulnerable members of host communities (VMHC) in Lima/Callao, Arequipa, Ica and Piura, particularly women, LGBTQ2IA+ individuals, people with disabilities, Indigenous and Afro-descendant population, with a focus on enhancing their economic well-being.

Reporting to the PROMESA Program Manager (PM), this position of Territorial Coordinator (TC) will be responsible for providing technical support to implementing partner (IP), private and public sector partners (PPSP) and other stake holders ensuring that activities under PROMESA in Lima-Callao, Arequipa, Ica, and Piura are carried out according to annual work plans.

Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
Coordination of Project Activities

  • In coordination with the PM, the TC will monitor and support IP and PPSP in the implementation of activities in their respective regions according to the project implementation plan.

  • Support the PM in technical areas of the PROMESA project expected results
  • Identify PPSP and conduct Capacity Assessment Process (CAP) and due diligence process with private sector companies
  • Support the PM in the development of Memorandums of Understanding with PPSP
  • Responsible for the coordination and monitoring of employability and entrepreneurship consultants.

  • Responsible for the implementation of the Inclusive and Sustainable Route and the micro-entrepreneurship programs of PROMESA.

  • Support the PM in activities such as organization of events with IP, PPSP and other stakeholders held in their project region.

  • Provide follow-up support to PROMESA participants during their training and upon employment and self-employment.

  • Participate in the Operations Committee meetings with IP and PPSP
  • Support the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) activities in their regions, including the preparation and submission of the project´s progress reports
  • In coordination with the MEAL officer and PM, support the design of data-collection strategy, as well as documentation of results, impact, lessons learned and good practices.

  • Responsible for entering information from their areas of intervention into the MEAL system
  • Support visits from donor, headquarters and program office.

  • Support the PM to implement the communication plan, including the promotion of Cuso International in their regions including writing of success stories
  • Share with PM relevant information that might affect the project positively or negatively

Other Responsibilities

  • Fulfill other responsibilities, as required by the PM, CR, from time to time.

  • Regular travel within Peru, particularly Lima, Piura, Arequipa and Ica.

Position Requirements
Education

  • Relevant accreditation in relevant field related to employment and technical and soft-skills training

Experience

  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in employability and entrepreneurship projects Experience providing technical assistance and logistical support to various stakeholders
  • Strong record of providing quality customer service to internal and external clients, including partners and donors
  • Experience in developing and delivering training modules on entrepreneurship and employability
  • Proven ability to be self-serving in IT (Outlook, Email, databases, basic excel, PowerPoint, amongst others) and willingness to develop IT skills to improve effectiveness at work.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge about the situation of Venezuelan migrants in Peru, particularly the barriers to access employment and develop their business
  • Knowledge of gender equality and human rights approach.
