About the team

Our Americas Bid & Proposal Management (BPM) Team is comprised of 30+ professionals working virtually across North America and Latin America.

We are a part of the Global SAP Customer Success and Advocacy organization.

The BPM team has two hubs to support Latin America, one Spanish speaking and the other Portuguese speaking.

 

When corporations and government entities are looking to buy a new software solution, they issue an RFP (request for proposals).

The BPM team is there to guide SAP account executives and presales engineers in preparing the response document(s) to try to win the business for SAP.

The proposal manager must have excellent organizational skills, as well as an attention to detail and ability to collaborate, which they put to use following clear methodologies to produce high quality bid and proposal documents.

We have established a proven, efficient process to manage strategic opportunities, from opportunity maturity to proposal development.

By integrating sales activities with other business areas, we are able to deliver deal-centric, high-impact customer-facing documents.

This helps us differentiate SAP from the competition and positions SAP as the vendor of choice.

We support both software license and professional services sales opportunities, working directly with Account Executives and Virtual Account Teams on strategic customer programs and key accounts.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Proposal Management

Location: Lima, Peru

Type of job: Internship (Practica PreProfesional)

Expected start date: December 2025

Duration: Preferably 12 – 24 months minimum (must be a student for the whole duration)

 

About the Role:

 

As a project manager, the proposal manager plans and executes the RFx document creation and delivery.

The proposal manager organizes, manages and prioritizes tasks and timelines for projects to meet and manage deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of the bid response back to the customer.

Key activities include the following:

 

  • Creates document response templates and establishes document SharePoint/MS Teams spaces for the purpose of collaboration on deal specific bids.
  • Develops and manages the proposal response timeline/schedule from RFx release through submission that includes a list of virtual account team (VAT) roles and responsibilities using the RFP (request for proposal) as a guideline.
  • Sets up and leads kick-off calls and weekly/periodic touchpoints to include sales leads and VAT members, partners, solution experts, etc; facilitates the discussion with the VAT around RFx requirements, assignments, and timeline.
  • Changes, tracks, and monitors deadlines and issues reminders to contributors helping to resolve constraints among VAT members.
  • Manages VAT members through completion of their assigned activities and communicates resource constraints and issues to the VAT to ensure deadlines are met and escalating issues to management as appropriate.
  • Updates workload tracking records and uploads final responses to archives.

 

Who you are:

 

We’re looking for someone who has exceptional organization, detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills who is comfortable collaborating virtually with different groups within SAP to deliver customer facing documents.

You like to take initiative, work on meaningful and innovative projects and are energized by a fast-paced work environment that provides ample learning opportunities.

  • Current university student, preferably with graduation date in 2027 or later.
  • Exceptionally organized individual with a high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Advanced MS Word and working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, interest in project management and document formatting skills
  • High level of commitment to work and meeting deadlines
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Fluent in English, with good oral and written skills
