QA Lead Mainframe
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Mainframe experience is mandatory.
- 6+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Strong domain knowledge in telecom systems (e.g., OSS/BSS, network provisioning, mediation, billing).
- Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework).
- Experience in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Unix, Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in working in offshore and onsite model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts and engineers across telecom projects.
- Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases tailored to telecom systems (e.g., OSS/BSS, VoIP, LTE/5G, IMS).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and operations to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution using tools like JIRA or HP ALM.
- Drive automation initiatives and maintain test automation frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with telecom standards and regulatory requirements.
- Define and execute test strategies for mobile platforms like android and ios devices, including functional, UI/UX, compatibility, functional testing.
- Validate mobile app behavior under various network conditions (e.g., 2G/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, roaming, no network).
- Provide regular QA status reports, metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
