Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned
Operator
with over 5 years of experience in
metals and/or minerals operations
to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of physical commodity flows, logistics, documentation, and trade lifecycle management.
This role is critical in ensuring the smooth execution of trades and supporting the commercial team in delivering operational excellence.
While this role is based in Peru, we welcome applications from qualified candidates in other locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics for physical trades in metals and/or minerals, including shipping, warehousing, and customs clearance.
- Manage trade documentation such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices, and inspection reports.
- Liaise with counterparties, freight providers, inspection companies, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory movements, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines.
- Support traders with operational insights and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and internal control policies.
- Maintain accurate records in trade management systems and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations related to metals and/or minerals.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, Incoterms, and trade documentation.
- Experience working with trading platforms and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Endur, Allegro).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
