How the Position Works
- Tranzact is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join its FP&A department.
The analyst will be part of a collaborative team and work closely with various departments across Tranzact to prepare and analyze timely, accurate financial information.
- As a member of the Finance team, the Junior Financial Analyst will contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes and develop financial reports and models that support decision-making across business units.
This role will emphasize analyzing and modeling key cost line items in the company's P&L.
The specific responsibilities of the Junior Financial Analyst include
- Support data analysis and reporting for forecasting and tracking key COGS items.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather projection inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Prepare and present insightful analyses and variance explanations to senior leadership to support cost management initiatives.
- Develop new operating and financial models to provide visibility into daily financial performance.
- Maintain ownership of current operating and financial reporting (costs, KPIs, reconciliations, etc.) for various divisions within Tranzact.
- Assist in the monthly financial close process, working closely with the accounting team and other stakeholders.
- Build business analytics reports to identify variances and trends.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
What you need to be successful
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Expert-level Excel skills, including experience with large datasets, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a diligent work ethic.
- Results-oriented with a commitment to completing tasks on time.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think creatively, adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and manage shifting priorities.
- Experience building reports in Power BI (including data modeling and dashboard design).
- Basic proficiency in SQL (SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE queries).
- Basic proficiency in Python for data analysis (data frame manipulation).
What we would LOVE to see
- Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus.
- Prior experience in financial planning tools.
- Experience with Cost management
