ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participating as part of the IT Services technical team, attending internal meetings, you must be able to communicate with all levels of the team.
- Design, implement and maintain relational and non-relational databases.
- Monitor database performance.
- Optimization of queries and structures seeking greater efficiency of databases.
- In charge of performing and monitoring data backups and recovery.
- Implement and maintain database security policies.
- Responsible for planning and executing updates and migrations of databases.
- Document database configurations and procedures.
- Participation in IT projects to design database schemas.
- Technical support related to databases.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Participate in proof-of-concept processes, as well as requirements development
- Work with external consultants on the various implementations that are made
- Work with minimal supervision prioritizing according to scheduled tasks
- Consistently report to the Managed Services Supervisor and IT Services Director to keep them informed of issues, impediments, escalations, and resource needs
- Provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide relevant information to the Managed Services Supervisor regarding managed services.
- Participate in the development of new products and solutions
- Inform management of process improvements in areas of concern
- Perform Database updates / upgrades to running versions.
Required Experience
- 5 or more years in similar positions
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Electronics, Networking, Computer Science and related.
- Database Administration Certifications (optional): SQL Server Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.) Microsoft certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Oracle Database Certifications AWS Certified Database Certification
- Experience with cloud databases and Big Data technologies.
- Advanced English level
