Role Overview
We are seeking a
Global Maritime Trade & Infrastructure Policy Analyst
to support research and advisory initiatives focused on trade corridors, seaport competitiveness, and maritime policy transformation.
The role involves strategic mapping of cross-regional logistics flows and scenario development for long-term infrastructure adaptation, especially in Latin America and South–South trade dynamics.
This position suits professionals with backgrounds in maritime strategy, trade policy analysis, or infrastructure development who can interpret global shifts and transform them into actionable frameworks for institutional partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct research on port infrastructure, maritime alliances, and trade corridor evolution across Latin America and intercontinental routes
• Assess logistics performance indicators and provide input on national or regional competitiveness strategies
• Support technical reports and policy white papers on cross-border connectivity, trade agreements, and port modernization
• Monitor macroeconomic shifts and geopolitical trends impacting infrastructure flows and shipping resilience
• Analyze the impact of free trade zones, customs facilitation initiatives, and digital logistics platforms
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce advisory materials for development finance institutions and public agencies
• Contribute to strategic foresight exercises and resilience frameworks for trade-facing infrastructure assets
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in International Trade, Infrastructure Policy, Maritime Economics, or related fields
• 3–6 years of experience in port strategy, trade policy advisory, or logistics sector analytics
• Familiarity with Latin American trade corridors, regional integration schemes, and maritime governance trends
• Demonstrated ability to write high-impact policy outputs and infrastructure diagnostics
• Strong quantitative and synthesis skills with experience in cross-sectoral trade data analysis
• Fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese proficiency is a strong asset
