Position Summary
The Finance Assistant (or Junior Accountant) will support the Finance Department in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of day-to-day accounting and compliance processes in accordance with Peruvian regulations.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual eager to develop a career in accounting and finance while learning directly from experienced professionals in a dynamic and international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Tax Support
- Assist in recording daily financial transactions, including expenses, invoices, and supplier payments.
- Support the preparation and submission of monthly and annual tax filings to SUNAT (e.g., PDT 621, PLAME, etc.).
- Help maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with Peruvian GAAP and company policies.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
- Support monthly payroll calculation, ensuring accuracy in salaries, bonuses, and statutory contributions.
- Prepare and verify contributions related to ESSALUD, EPS, AFP/ONP, CTS, and Gratificaciones, ensuring timely payments and compliance.
- Maintain accurate employee records related to payroll and benefits.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all local labor and tax regulations, keeping track of changes in SUNAT and Ministry of Labor guidelines.
- Support internal financial reporting and assist in the preparation of management reports.
Administrative & Operational Tasks
- Maintain a digital and physical filing system for invoices, receipts, contracts, and compliance documents.
- Support the Finance team with payment tracking, bank reconciliations, and vendor follow-ups.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree (completed) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of Peruvian tax and labor laws (SUNAT, ESSALUD, AFP/ONP, CTS, EPS, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive or procedural tasks with accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic familiarity with accounting systems or ERPs.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a structured finance environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient English skills (reading, writing & speaking)
