What We Are Looking For:

We're seeking a Level 1 Autonomy Field Engineer or Technician to provide specialized technical support for ARDVARC autonomous drilling systems in the mining industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience with electric drills and a strong background in industrial automation.

This position can be based in either Lima or Arequipa.

What You Need:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or Technical certification in Industrial Automation, Electronics, or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of drill operations or a solid understanding of daily drill functionality.

  • In-depth technical knowledge of rotary drills, including mechanical and hydraulic systems.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with electric drills such as Komatsu 320XPC, Caterpillar MD6640 or Epiroc PV271/PV351.

  • Strong technical skills in diagnosing failures in drill control system and base machine.

  • Solid knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electric motors, variable speed drives, PLC programming, and automation equipment.

  • Valid driver's license (AII-B preferred).

  • High adaptability to change and ability to work independently and responsibly.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide field technical support for the ARDVARC Autonomy System components (installation, maintenance, diagnostics).

  • Assist drill control room operators with system-related issues.

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders for any autonomy action needed.

  • Coordinate daily autonomy-related needs with Maintenance and Operations teams.

  • Report field technical issues to Level 2 Engineers or escalate to the Factory when required.

  • Prepare technical reports and service documentation.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of drill or autonomy system failures.

  • Maintain clear communication at all levels regarding autonomous system performance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.

  • Work under mining site rotation schedules in Toquepala/Antapaccay u otros (e.g., 10x10, 8x6, or similar).
