Role Overview
We are seeking a
Cross-Border Trade Strategy Consultant
to contribute to policy-driven advisory work focused on infrastructure modernization, logistics resilience, and regional trade facilitation.
This role will support global and Latin America-focused engagements—particularly in areas involving institutional diagnostics, regulatory benchmarking, and corridor development.
Ideal candidates have experience at the intersection of international trade, development strategy, or infrastructure reform—particularly those with exposure to think tank research, policy innovation, or donor-funded programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on trade logistics, corridor competitiveness, and port governance systems
- Support the development of policy reports, strategy papers, and benchmarking studies for public sector and institutional clients
- Analyze trends in cross-border logistics, customs modernization, and regulatory convergence
- Contribute to stakeholder mapping, institutional reviews, and scenario planning for trade ecosystem resilience
- Draft high-quality policy-oriented content, including technical briefs and regional integration insights
- Participate in preparation for stakeholder engagements, consultations, and validation sessions
- Monitor trade architecture developments across the Andean region, Mercosur, and global trade initiatives
Qualifications
- Degree in International Relations, Trade & Development, Public Policy, or Infrastructure Planning
- 3–6 years of experience in policy research, international consulting, or regional trade analysis
- Familiarity with Latin American integration frameworks (e.g., CAN, Alianza del Pacífico, UNECLAC) is an asset
- Strong analytical and writing skills; ability to translate complex inputs into actionable policy insights
- Experience with development finance institutions, donor-funded projects, or institutional advisory preferred
- Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency is essential for regional engagement
