Banyan Global operates seamlessly within five practice areas: health, economic growth, gender, youth, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Banyan Global is recruiting a Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID/Peru Activity.

The activity will provide technical support and services across the program cycle for Peru's bilateral and South America Regional portfolios, as well as USAID Missions in South America.

Activity services will include support for effective planning, robust design, performance reporting, conducting special studies, data quality assessments, collaborating, learning, and adapting, and knowledge management to strengthen USAID’s program cycle systems and enhance the capacity of local and regional entities to improve the use of evidence for programming, learning, and adaptive management.

The Chief of Party will be responsible for the technical, contractual, and financial compliance and performance of services delivered under the award.

The position is full-time, based in Lima, and contingent on funding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all project planning and implementation, ensuring that activity tasks are completed and objectives successfully met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with and represent the project to USAID, implementing partners, host country officials, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership in and oversight to evaluations, assessments, research and analysis, and performance and context monitoring, and capacity strengthening for learning, and adapting.
  • Proactively identify resources required by the project, including consultants and subcontractors, and oversee the development of scopes of work for the same.
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of all contract deliverables and work products.
  • Directly or indirectly supervise all project staff and consultants.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant USG, Banyan Global, and host country rules, regulations, and laws, including those related to procurement and labor and employment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of professional experience managing complex international development programming, preferably with a dedicated focus on monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

  • Previous Chief of Party experience or equivalent (e.g., Team Leader, Country Director) on a USAID-funded award preferred.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with USAID’s Program Cycle, monitoring and evaluation requirements, and collaborating, learning, and adapting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and track record of successfully managing relationships with diverse development stakeholders in Peru.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Graduate degree in relevant field.
