Job description

Become a part of our talented deugro team, as we look for a Business Development Manager in Lima, Peru.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Sales Plan, identifying opportunities aligned with deugro's global strategy.

  • Identify and engage potential clients in Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Renewable sectors worldwide.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to post-closing follow-up, ensuring alignment with deugro's capabilities and client expectations.

  • Maintain and grow key accounts, conducting market research to identify vertical business opportunities.

  • Negotiate competitive rates with service providers to maximize profitability.

  • Provide regular reporting (weekly/monthly) on performance, market intelligence, and recommendations to branch management.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Project Operations and Commercial, to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of contractual requirements.

  • Represent deugro at industry events, particularly in the Mining sector, to strengthen market positioning.

  • Monitor receivables and take proactive measures to meet KPI targets related to days outstanding.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including HSSE&Q, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Handbook.

  • Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen
  • Demonstrates solid knowledge across key freight forwarding disciplines, including air, sea, surface transport, industrial projects, and Oil & Gas.

  • Understands deugro's strategic direction, service portfolio, and value proposition.

  • Applies company policies, rules, and operational guidelines effectively in daily activities.

  • Identifies and capitalizes on business opportunities, consistently driving deal closures.

  • Negotiates confidently and strategically to secure favorable commercial terms.

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

  • Qualification: degree in International Business, Marketing, Sales, Commercial Management or related.

  • More than 5 years of sales experience in international trade/ freight forwarding.

  • Ability to understand clients' project logistical challenges and structure effective solutions
  • Strategic Planning, Analytical and conceptual thinker, self-starter and team player
  • Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, control) and attention to detail are essential
  • Customer focused, results oriented and performance driven
  • Network and Relationship building
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
