ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Employees must spend over 50% of their time on these duties.
- Provides psychiatric services within scope of practice to children and families.
- Provides psychiatric evaluations for Medi-Cal clients.
- Available for crisis calls, receives payments for crisis calls, and ensures coverage during absences.
- Consults with therapists, care coordinators, and other staff regarding client care.
- Documents mental health services according to DMH standards.
- Coordinates the completion of Client Treatment Plan (CTP) or equivalent goals for psychiatric services, renewing goals annually with the therapist.
- Completes all progress notes and required documents within 48 hours.
- Makes requested corrections to documentation within 24 hours.
- Submits subcontractor invoices by Tuesday of the following week.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school is required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain patient privacy.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Punctuality and dependability.
- Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
- Understands CII’s philosophy and participates in its mission.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Board Certified in Child Psychiatry
- Clearance from SAM.gov
- Background clearance through CA DOJ
- Professional Liability Insurance or Malpractice coverage
- DEA license
CONTINGENCIES
- Covid-19 vaccination and booster required.
- Compliance with immunization requirements.
- Background fingerprint clearance.
- Drug, alcohol, tuberculosis screening, education verification, and reference checks.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly rate: $350 per billable hour, up to $110,000 annually, with potential increases.
- Pay range posted as per CA law; actual pay based on experience.
