As an Associate Researcher in Bioresources:
How you'll make an impact:
- Lead the study and identification of innovative uses of biodiversity and ecosystem services present in the Amazon.
- Oversee the development of a catalog showcasing the bioeconomic potential of these resources.
- Contribute to solving bottlenecks in value chains, assess the feasibility of their sustainable use, and structure business models for implementation.
- Systematize the evidence generated in collaboration with strategic partners, especially national and international research centers.
- Develop high-level scientific publications.
- Generate new strategic partnerships for UTEC and ASRI.
- Identify and secure funding to strengthen your research line.
What makes you a great fit:
- PhD in Biology, Ethnobotany, Biotechnology, or related fields
- Experience in fieldwork in the Amazon, including with communities and rural areas
- Experience in developing new products/compounds and value chains
- Proven research experience
- Publications in academic journals
- Experience as PI or Co-PI in funded research projects
