We are seeking a capable and proactive
Accountant
to support the
Regional Finance Manager
and
Territory Manager Andean
in managing the day-to-day financial and administrative operations for
Deswik Peru
.
This role requires a confident self-starter who can work effectively with remote Finance teams across the region - including Chile, Colombia, and Brazil - while also being present in the local office to support and contribute to a positive team culture.
Day To Day You Will Be Responsible For
- Full-cycle accounting for the Peru entity, including month-end and year-end close.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing.
- Collaborate with regional and territory managers to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes
Work with external accounting service providers for:
Domestic and international tax compliance (monthly/quarterly filings, annual income tax, indirect taxes).
- Payroll and employment tax obligations.
- Cross-border tax matters.
About You
You will have demonstrated experience:
- Applying accounting principles, tax compliance, and understanding of local financial regulations specific to Peru
- Navigating both structured accounting tasks and dynamic team interactions working in hybrid environments—balancing remote collaboration with in-office responsibilities
- Working in an accounting team environment, while also capable of working independently
- Supporting employees within the office to support operations, comfortable asking questions of others, and having the initiative to research solutions or access peer networks for upskilling.
Your Qualifications And Experience Will Include
- Education: Graduate qualification in Accounting
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years in accounting within a medium-sized business.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar ERP systems.
- Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
- Language: Competent English skills – written, spoken, and reading would be an advantage but not essential.
